Sixty-four Inches of Style: The Final Petite Fashion Show
My daughter, Saloni Joshi, was the inspiration behind the inaugural Petite Fashion Show in 2024. Standing at 5 feet tall, she has been told to her beautiful face by modeling agencies and boutiques: “You’re too short. You’re not tall enough. You’re only 5 feet tall.”
These defeating declarations not only crushed her spirit but diminished her love of fashion and modeling. I knew there was an opportunity to give petite individuals a runway.
Each of them shined beautifully in the spotlight and felt powerful while looking fabulous. I am so happy that the models’ enthusiasm and the attendees’ support has led to the third annual fashion show!
This year, the Keynote Speaker was the acclaimed Corporate Immigration Attorney, Author and Multi-time Marathoner, Giselle Carson. “That I’m petite often surprises people, especially when I walk into a room with big energy. Being petite has taught me how to take up space with presence, confidence, and intention, not size. Of course, there are the challenges: finding clothes that fit, being underestimated, or having to speak up a little louder early in my career. But those experiences shaped me. I would change the misconception, sometimes even our own belief, that being petite somehow limits strength or capability. A wise person once told me, ‘God made us only as tall as we need to be to be perfect.’ I love that.”
Previous speakers have included President and CEO, United Way of Northeast Florida Melanie Patz in 2024 and Expert Counsel at Florida Blue and 2025 JAX Chamber Chair, Ari Jolly in 2025.
Enjoy mingling with your friends while supporting fashion inclusivity, challenging the stereotype that modeling is for the taller crowd. My goal is to acknowledge that height should never be a deterrent your success. The societal pressures and discrimination from modeling agencies need to stop. Let’s celebrate all that is petite together! Tickets will include a gourmet grazing table, the Go Tuk’n, Inc. cashless (credit only) bar, and shopping with local boutiques.
See you at the Jessie Ball duPont Center on Saturday, February 21, 2026.

Remember, this event is not just about fashion – it’s about empowerment, inclusivity, and making sure every woman, no matter her stature, feels represented. For petite women, this show offers an opportunity to feel seen and showcase their confidence in ways that we often don’t get to experience. I’m so excited to keep the runway going…
The press we received in 2024 was fantastic:
